"hello to our polish neighbours from Germany"... would be time for a sentence like that in Eurovision. ;)

this country is very, very boring and they are only lising techno or polish hip-hop.

Sounds like Germany to me... you are sure you're in Poland? ;) (Okay, technically correct people in Germany are listening to german hip hop, but you get my point...) As for videos... I once found the Wild Dances clip on the polish(!) EMI web site.

Impressing, really! So now its time to find out two things about you ;)

one: how hany languages do you speak or/and write?

two: What country are you from?

We are really curious now about this and would appreciate if you will answer :)

[so i can say im from Lviv] and my mom's parents were in a village near Lviv.. blah blah blah.. and the rest is history.. lol

Oh, thats really interesting familyhistory. Wonder why your (dads)grandparents end up living in Ukraine and your parents end up living in Canada !!!

So this means that your relatives live in Ukraine then?
But if your parents is Polish. Why do you speak ukrainian at home? Have your parents lived in Ukraine or just your grandparents?

Sorry for all the questions but I just found all this very interesting ;)

lol well i have no idea why my dad's parents were in Lviv :S but both of my parents ended up in Canada coz of my dad's sister and my mom's uncle.. but ya my relatives lived in Ukraine, but more than half of them were ukrainian.. so both of my parents are Polish, just my dad.. My mom is pure ukrainian in blood but born in Poland [sorry, but to me citizenship really doesn't matter except for your ethnicity... its a Canadian thing] so that's why i speak ukrainian coz my mom taught it and i went to a ukrainian elementary school and i try to preserve my culture in my life through speaking ukrainian daily.. :]
and my grandparents only lived in Ukraine. My parents haven't been there yet but that might change... [well with my mom.. :P]
blah.. lol.. k i'll stop bout my family bio.

Yeah Sick Driver, I didn't think you could speak Polish that good! Bardzo dobrze! My whole family's polish, but I wasn't taught Polish at a young age so I have only been learning more recently! I do find it hard but with Polish.... tu sie sprawa komplikuje :-) Prawde mowiac polski zawsze wydawal mi sie jezykiem pelnym kultury i wzajemnych grzecznosci. Wiem.. usprawiedliwiam
sie! I have a very good friend in Poland and I always write to him.

sorry if im spreading the link everywhere

No problem, the main issue is solved with the password, the page cannot be spidered by search engines. :) (And I always wonder why people don't read that login box, but need the password told. >:-> )

To contribute to the current thread theme: My parents came from the other end of Poland which also changed the nation several times during the last couple of hundred years - Silesia. They were born in Germany and spent their youth in Poland without moving one mile. ;-) If I look back one generation further I see only polish/silesian/czech surnames.

I didn't learn polish though because they mostly talked polish when I shouldn't understand what they were talking about and they were argueing things... now who wants to learn a language which is only argued in? ;) Meanwhile I've got over it :-) I somehow found that there's great music made in slavic languages... did you know that one gal from Ukraine even won the Euro Song contest? ;-D
