WOW, now I'm starting to think i'm a Gemini :)) My mood can raise up in the sky and the next second fall down to the ground.. it's up to what's going on around and inside me... :))

That´s right, but this has nothing to do with the ascendant. The ascendant is the sign, which rises at the eastern part of the horizon at the moment of our birth. I just know that from my father-in-law, but I don´t know much about that all. He told me, that each zodiac sign can have different ascendants and this is up to the birth time. That´s why the time of birth is important as well, if you want to create a horoscope.

I don´t know either, but there are programmes to find out all that. Of course, these are more usefull, if you have a wide knowledge about that subject as my father-in-law has it. All I know is, that you need your birthday, birthplace and the time of birth to find that out. There might be also online calculations of the ascendant.
