nikoleta_rangelova By the way, why is it called "Hip-hop" and not "Hop-hop"?!
Maybe because hop hop is Ruslana? Well hip hop is the dominant style for teenagers in this time. Hop hop is special style for Ruslana's fans who don't want to fall to the mass of average.

nikoleta_rangelova It would be funny, I'm sure;)
Who is going to study? (I mean not only hop hop but also college, university etc.)
wespecz Hey, I've decided that my first foreign place to visit will be Prague. Can I hope that I have a guide there?

nikoleta_rangelova Hahaha, great Let's take some lessons in Hop-hop I think that here no lessons are necessary. Everybody can listen to Ruslana's music or dance without any learning. If you're not going to join Zhittya, of course.
WildYennifer Hey, I've decided that my first foreign place to visit will be Prague. Can I hope that I have a guide there? When it will happen, please? I live far away from our capital. I will be glad to help but I will need the time to change my future plans. When you will come and with whom?

wespecz Well, next summer I think nikoleta_rangelova I would like to visit some city of Poland... But the third will be Bulgaria - no doubt)) I'll learn Bulgarian to be able to talk there. wespecz And as far as i know your language sounds a bit funny for those who know Russian. I think they can be called "opposite languages". Like ukr and Belorussian - we are funny for them, they are funny for us)))

Becides, I'm (yes, again ) writing my *** *** *** *** scientific work. Now it's about English words of French origin. Could you please (all of you here) fill out these questionnaire? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Name (real please ) Country Date of birth Occupation (pupil, student, work somewhere etc.) How many languages should a person know nowadays? What foreign languages do you know (or are you studying)? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- This part is only for those who studies English on a serious level. Especially for Nikoleta who studies it at university What is the per cent of loanwords in English? (If don't know, guess))) Do you know about French loanwords in English? Do you think that French loanwords have enriched English? Do you think that knowledge of French makes studying of English easier (or En -> Fr) ? What are the main topics of loanwords? (Hint: fashion, cuisine, science etc.) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thank you! I hope you'll fill it out by tomorrow morning.........

Radiowave It looks like Fire and Ice. Cool
WildYennifer I'll learn Bulgarian to be able to talk there. haha, deal
(yes, again) (oh, okay )
writing my *** *** *** *** scientific work. Did you miss any specific letters in ***** or...no, better don't twll us
You know the first several couple of answers..
Occupation: student plus a part time job as an En teacher (poor people)
How many languages should a person know nowadays? As many as possible But start from the main: English, German, French... and if you want to study En Philology, start doing some course in Basque (I'm not joking, half the examples in some subjects are from Basque)
What is the per cent of loanwords in English? (If don't know, guess))) Very high- more than 50% By the way, yoghurt comes from Turkish,
Do you know about French loanwords in English? genre, mayonnaise, champagne, croissant, louche, prince, duke, chancellor, judge, baron, attorney, court, official, lieutenant, country, courage, beef, fruit, honour, boil, virtue, sentence, music, jewel, language, question, male, female, horrible, mirror, fool, literature, gentle, pity, virtue
Do you think that French loanwords have enriched English?
No, they have pushed away words from Old English (but THINK, not Read it somewhere )
Do you think that knowledge of French makes studying of English easier (or En -> Fr) ? No matter what, if you know one of them it would be easier to learn the other, but if you don't know either, it would be fehler (from German, borrowed in EN in March-April 2008 ) May be EN males it FR easier to study.
What are the main topics of loanwords? (Hint: fashion, cuisine, science etc.) Pffffffffffff, may be fashion.... and may be cuisine... borrowing often occur when the native speakers of a language encounter some object for the first time and do not have such thing in their own lang., so they don't have a word for it either. Like youghurt from Turkish, ski from Norwegian, kangaroo from some lang. in Australia.
I think even words like : sky and green were borrowed, but don't remember where form.

Yes, but in fact that was not my presentation. You see, all the works are in English (well, I'm in school... so far ), and last year I and my classmate both whote 2 works. My topic was neologisms, and hers - teenagers and their problems . But her work was better, and she wasn't able to present it, so I improved and presented that work instead of her. Sorry for so many detailes
