Dear Visitors of the Forum!

Greetings from the Administrator of the web-site, aka Mik Dzjudzja, aka DzU from Ruslana?s team in Istanbul. Finally the news written by myself are not created from a distance but directly from Istanbul. We are really grateful to the Turkish system administrators for the Ukrainian keyboard layout that they have installed for us! =) By the way, all of the Turks (both from the official Turkish delegation and from different Turkish mass media agencies) are very hospitable to newly-arrived people, especially to the people from Ruslana?s team. However, warm emotions of such layers of the Turkish society as taxi drivers, waters and salespeople are also based on a hope to make some additional money but this is still very pleasant (by the way, the Turks when they see that you are a foreigner double their prices! Such a mentality! Another side of this mentality is a love for bargaining! As a result, you can easily lower the raised price to its normal level. The main thing is a good attitude.

So, in this post you will read the news of this day, as well as about our emotions ? because we have a lot of them! Today (May 7th), like yesterday, was spent mostly for interviews and relevant meetings. Thus, Ruslana had a chance to talk to the journalists from STAR TV (Greece), Turkish, Belgian and British newspapers. But the event of the day occurred in the evening, which was Ruslana?s second official rehearsal at Abdi Ipekci Arena, as well as the consecutive press conference that Ruslana gave to the journalists from many European states.

A little comment. As it was determined during a short conversation in broken English with the local people (I have to confess that I was responsible for this broken English, as well as the Turkish side), Abdi Ipekci Arena is a modern basketball complex that is located next to the ancient wall of Constantinople. Due to Eurovision it was turned into a small separate city with a press center and endless TV editing rooms, dressing rooms and conference halls.

Today Ruslana decided to walk around this City of Eurovision. Of course, this came to a complete failure because Ruslana, when she appears among journalists, receives so much attention from them that she can?t literally walk around. Her popularity can be compared only to the attention that Russia?s TATU received last year. And these are not the thing that we have made up ? this is what the Eurovision portal www.esctoday.com said about this.

Ruslana?s second rehearsal took place at the main hall of Eurovision. This time she did not break anything (please refer to the news that Ruslana broke the stage of Eurovision during the first rehearsal) because the organizers took good care in reinforcing the stage.

After the rehearsal the press conference took place, which was crowded with journalists waiting for Ruslana. You might think that a press conference is a dull activity but in fact it was not that dull at all because Ruslana has turned it into a real show by getting to the press conference table not only the representatives of the National Television Channel of Ukraine and CFC Consulting Company but also all members of the dancing group.

Ruslana arrived at the press conference after letting the journalists see beautiful video shots of Ukraine and the Carpathian mountains on a large screen. At once she declared that she can not talk about anything serious today and thus she turned all the press conference into a big joke. From the offset she wished luck to the Turkish football club Fenerbahçe, whose club colors coincide with the colors of the Ukrainian flag. The Singer also remembered her childhood and that she even broke a window with a football back in the days. In general, she admitted that for all of her life she has been in music and on the stage -

"With Eurovision I am beginning a new stage in my life. I have felt that I can do more and that I will do more!?

Maybe this was the only serious phrase during the press-conference. Later on Ruslana announced a competition for questions from the audience and said that she will give a prize to the person who asks a question that she can not answer. Maybe she was just looking for a person to give the prize to but quite soon she was already putting the Wild Dances tattoo on the shoulder of a Greek journalist. And all this on the public!

After this she engaged some journalists in the Wild Dances! First she taught them the Hutsul rhythm and then grabbed them into the circle and danced with them. The show and the rhythm of Ruslana apparently were liked by all the different European journalists!

While I am writing these lines, Ruslana is already being driven to a Turkish elite club for another performance.

All I can add to the news from yesterday is that Ruslana performed at an elite night club here, called Moda Club!!! As always it was a BLAST! Vasyl
