It's a difficult question :))) although it has been asked on this forum at some other topic, maybe because it was in another language.... I love all her songs and I choose a favorite songs every 2 days. Right now it "Hutsulka Girl" and two days ago it was "I know" :) and before it was a different one and later on it's going to be a different one.

Rob,
You have asked the impossible question!
I agree with the people above - it all depends on the mood!
Of her earlier, quieter songs, "Svitanok", "Ty" and "Tik-tok kolyskova" stand out.
From the "Dyki tantsi" album, "Tse ljubov" and "Ya tebe lyublyu" are exceptionally beautiful songs. Of the livelier ones, I'd pick "Kolomyjka" and "Oy zahray my, muzychen'ky" (especially the "Wild dance" remix).
"Znayu ya" deserves a special mention. Not only is the song wonderfully melodic, the video is outstanding.
I love all the other songs, too. Ask me tomorrow and I would probably pick "Hutsulka" or "Skazhy meni"!
All the songs on "Dyki tantsi" are excellent - it's the only album I have ever bought that I can say that for.

I agree with you _sick_driver_ and Mark, it is impossible to select the most favourite song.
Though as for me, my love to Ruslana songs began since the time I've heard the song "Myt' vesny" ("Instant of the spring") and "Luna (vidlunn'a)" :)

The best song is the one that makes you happiest when you listen to it...I listen to lots of songs from all over the world so it would be impossible to choose just one.

I really like all of her songs, which is quite incredible... but if I have to choose one, just one, I'd go for Kolomijka, although until few weeks ago, it was Balada Pro Princesu.

Arcan
I'm not an Ukrainian, so I didn't know that song beforhand, but when I read the booklet of the book (which means I actually was able to read the Ukrainian there! yay me!) I learned Arcan was actually a REAL folk song, so I found versions of it in a more traditional form and that even made me more impressed with Ruslana. It just shows exactly what she does - taking this folklore and recreating it into something new and exciting.

Fast all songs of Ruslana are great. It`s hard to choose. I like album "Dyki tanzi", I like "Svitanok", but may be "Ja tebe ljubju"(I love you) is for my mind the best, becaurse this is not so as all other, there are so much feelings, love in it.I saw and heard this song at concert in Lviv, Ruslana wrote and sing "Ja tebe Ljublju" for Sasha(her husband)

Since that during the generations so many people immigrated to Israel from these areas in ex-USSR, much of our own folk music sounds exactly the same, so it made me feel the same way, but towards our own folk music.

Im from the Ucrain and from Poland
i must say that the song ARKAN is the best song
i dont know do you know the Ucrain Carpaths, i am from the same town how ruslana and from the same village in the carpathans
so if you stay on a stone and play with a tamburin in the mountains its very good and this song is the best.
