Listening to all the material available I'd say the song is heavily influenced by Far Eastern styles, even some Chinese elements can be noticed.

In my opinion it is Jamaika or other latin style. It reminds me mostly of last years French Eurovision entry.

Thanks for the translation!

Interesting! Didn't think of Jamaika but my remarks refered to second 15 to 30 of the intro of that file:

This instrumental part is repeated later on during that song like a refrain.

It's a good thing that it's a multi-culture mix, anyway.

I thought that it sounds like Chinese or something like this.

Interesting that you also say that. It doesn't sound Chinese to me at all.

It's similar to instrumental music taken for TV-documentaries about the Silk Road etc.. I own plenty of such music. Maybe you know it from such sources?

I thought about it and now I know, it reminds me of Vangelis Conquest of Paradise.

On the main site it now says "New show and new album - coming soon"!
I wonder what "soon" means.

I wonder what "soon" means.

I've heard that Ruslana would like to release new album in spring 2012 but I don't know whether it is true.

We checked the album. No, it must be something different. It has too little in common with this Asian tunes and is a too "monumental" style.

Thought of Kitaro, its closer but also different.

Anyway, if I come accross a similar track I'll post it.

In this online chat she said "spring", not the year. We all know that the things she says may not come true. However, as it is now announced on the main site, it makes it more likely that it will be spring 2012 and not 2013.

Compare Davay Gray, 0:18-0:28 with Conquest of Paradise, 0:20-0:38.

The Kitaro links don't work "in my country".

Yes, I've read that chat but this is not what I was talking about. I've got that information from another source but I can't remember what exactly it was.

I did. Sorry, I can't hear a similarity. Maybe others can?
Enclosed the 2 files and 2 cutted mp3 pieces to compare.

Anyway, if it reminds you of Vanelis, it's ok. I'm just wondering which track inspired Ruslana and her team.

The Kitaro links don't work "in my country".

I hate that! For this reason I make use of foreign providers which guarantee freedom of speach and press.

Another source for the same information is good

Anyway, if it reminds you of Vanelis, it's ok.

It seems we all have different associations.

I hope that they will end up using Ruslana's song as the main theme of EURO 2012 in Ukraine. It would be very good for her European promo and she will get some international exposure.

LOL!!! Ruslana is amazing!!

I mean if someone here in Holland as example would knock over a singer that's as known as Ruslana is they would be angry.

How come Jamala got to perform during the official UEFA Draw show instead of Ruslana? This is really unfair!
