well, to be honest, I would not use the definition "fan". I'm a bit old (24) for being a poster-collector, screaming teenage-fan. :)))
/I'm joking!/
BUT: I really like to listening to her music. I have heard "Wild dances" about 3 months ago for the first time. I haven't heard anything about her before. (It is, because Hungary didn't participate in the Eurovision song contest in 2004, and that's why there wasn't any rumour around the Eurovision in Hungary in 2004.) But I liked Wild dances pretty much, and looked for its origin. And then I've found this homepage, and read about how many traditonal motives she uses in her songs, costumes, and so on....and I was quite impressed about it. I really like and admire those musicians, who try to rely on their roots, or on the treasures of the different nations or ethnic minorities.

I only joined to the forum, to be able to answer racsy, but I'm always ready for a good chat with someone from another part of the world. :)

okey, thats okey you dont have to be such one. its nice to talk anyway. It seemes to be only us in the forum for the moment and I went curious. I didnt have so much time for a period for the forum. This is a nice place to be. You meet nice people!

and I am 30 years old and have both screamed for Ruslana and got some posters. (Feels a bit embarrased ;-) I was in Ukraine and went to a concert with Ruslana. Then I screamed but Im not that kind of fan that are hysteric when I meet her!

and yes. Wild Dances is a song that grabs you and makes you to want to know more. I agree with this and we are all imressed and admires the background to it. Have you heard more of Ruslana since then?

No, not to much. I've heard some another songs. I could recognize, that I like the original (ukrainien) songs more, than the english ones. They are more exciting for me. :)

Song in Hungarian: "dal"

Winter is "tél"

"A" means "the"

In this case you see "dala" in the text. This last "-a" expresses, that the "dal" (the song) belongs to the winter.

You read it like tihs:

A - like in the beggining of Alonso
tél - like the english word "tail" (but without "i" sound)
dala - like Dana (Scully), but with an "'L" in the middle. :)

Where have you found this text?
