well, it is the same in BG, that's why I don't eat meat anylonger-I've seen how they do it, I've seen many other ways of killing animals-this made me stop eating animals, forever I hope

don't know why, I'm left with the impression that when you say "vegeterian", people think you survive only on brocoli, carrots and the grass in the backyard

3group. eat fish. But not meat
Strange how fish isn't meat in Ukraine and Russia. Even nuts are meat in English.

Seems that the definition of the meat is not as simple as it seems. Well for me fish is meat. Carp is traditional Christmass food here. It's based on it. Soup from the fish could be substituted by the pea one and then carp schnitzels with potatoe sallad follow.

There must be two topics about food. We talked about pecans (months ago), the best nut in the world isn't popular in Europe.

Living creatures are meat, I don't know why they call the insides of nuts "meat".

Yes, good point, you're right! I've found another one: Favourite food...

Yes I think the same but there is also another thing - soya meat - which is called meat by all the people although it isn't meat in fact.

Yes, strange, but I think this is said to be "not meat" when you speak about some types of diets.... And it is not not only in UA and Rus, but is stramge indeed.

Ruslana - Tea with milk and honey and a little bit of very good wine (maybe a couple of bottles
Yes, I read it in the morning, haha

So, first-tea
second- milk,
dessert-honey,
wow

flipsty

This is sometimes used in BG as well, but not in the meaning of meat (flesh), simply the consistence of ... the nut, may bebecause it is more... nutritional than other plants, vegetables/fruit

I found your topic

And what's typical for your national cuisine?

Hm.....being spicy (hot peppers, garlic, onion, black/red pepper, etc)

We use a lot of bean, lentil, potatoes; tomatoes, cucmbers, lettuce in the summer; Cheese The consumption of bread is not low, I think

And about meat.... I don't really know, may be pork is used the most.
