That's pity. I'm using Windows Movie Maker just for prepairing videos before upload on RuslanaTube so you don't need any special programme if this is the obstancle.

Download the programme Audacity and you can record how long you wish. And even edit the song, then ... exclude parts which you don't like and much more.
Audacity download ... after launching it just click to record ... and at the end save it as mp3.

Don't use the pause at all. Just press stop. I also cannot extract as MP3, it requires some additions, but WAV is okay, I think. Why should it necessarily be MP3?
